My patients ask me all the time, why did you open up a spa within your chiropractic office? The answer is a simple: Patients that receive a medical massage hold their adjustments 50% longer than the patients that do not receive massage. I think everyone that has stress, kids, jobs, no time, taking care of their parents, bills to pay, and eats toxins should get a massage! …at Preston Chiropractic and Acupuncture of course =P
Massage therapy is a powerful ally on your health journey. There’s no denying the power of bodywork. Regardless of whether you are wanting massage for pampering, rejuvenation, or therapeutic benefits, massage therapy can be a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen.
Experts estimate that upwards of ninety percent of disease is stress related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. While eliminating anxiety and pressure altogether in this fast-paced world may be idealistic, massage can, without a doubt, help manage stress. This translates into: decreased anxiety, enhanced sleep quality, greater energy, improved circulation, increased circulation, and reduced fatigue.
How do you choose what kind of massage is best for you? Nowadays there are all kinds of fancy names for massages, like Cranial-sacral massage, neuromuscular massage, Swedish, deep and Thai, lymphatic drainage and prego too!!! Don’t get caught up on the type of massage. Worry about one thing, the quality of the therapist! If you find a great massage therapist that does specific body work, then you are set. If you find a great one, then keep them (Like our very own Ella Kizis that’s been with us for over 10 years!)
Bottom line: Treat yourself. You are worth it!
